Building Resilience

Personal resilience is your key resource for coping with stressful work situations.  What do we mean by resilience? It’s the ability to recover quickly from setbacks and adversity. Research shows that anyone can improve their resilience through effective training and development.  We offer practical tools and techniques to increase your confidence and help you bounce back from disappointments that sometimes occur in working life.  You’ll learn that a key aspect of resilience is accepting that change can create opportunities as well scary moments!

Mindfulness at Work

What on earth is Mindfulness and how can it help you at work? Mindfulness is a way of paying attention, of being deeply attuned to yourself, your environment and those around you. It is a natural state of mind, focused and aware. To be mindful is to be fully present and ‘in the moment’. This might sound like fluffy HR tree-hugging, but give us a moment to explain. 

Mindfulness will help you:

  • distinguish subjective thoughts from objective facts
  • be more emotionally alert
  • listen more attentively
  • communicate more clearly
  • direct your thoughts appropriately
  • develop greater appreciation of present moment experience to allow you to be calm

The mindfulness skills we show you have been shown to be highly effective in reducing stress and anxiety and improving performance. You will leave the session felling calmer and more in control.
