Managing Complex People Issues
This half-day workshop is for any manager dealing with the impact of difficult or distressing situations, including deaths in service, dismissals for gross misconduct, threats of legal action and many other testing events. The workshop will equip you to:
- Help your clients effectively by understanding the various helping strategies available to you in a work setting
- Understand the effects of stress and your own stressors
- Deal with your personal reaction to difficult or dis-tressing material and process your thoughts and feelings safely
- Know your limits and recognise the boundaries of where your work ends and counselling or other interventions begin
