Lesley Aitcheson, Managing Director
Lesley is a learning and development specialist, a psychodynamic therapist and business coach.
Before setting up LJA in 2001, Lesley held senior line management and operational roles in a range of well-respected organizations and across a range of sectors, including transport, finance, retail and leisure.
Lesley's corporate career provided her not only with business experience, but also with insights into the complex dynamics between the needs of global companies and individuals who work for them. Having worked in the City, Lesley has an understanding of the challenges and dilemmas people face there every working day.
By providing people with the space to think and by asking searching questions Lesley and her team help people make sense of how where they are and why, articulate what they truly want, and explore with them what is possible and how they might achieve their goals.
Lesley also provides business coaching for senior managers on a one-to-one basis nd has recently celebrated a number of successes with her clients.
Lesley gained a BA in English Literature from London University and followed this a few years later with post-graduate study in International Business at Southbank University. In 2006 Lesley completed her MSc. in Psychodynamic Counselling from London University and is now a member of the Metanoia Institute where she is researching on the doctoral programme on the long-term efficacy of psychodynamic ideas in business training and consultancy.
Lesley is a member of the British Association of Counselors and Psychotherapists (BACP), the Association for Counselling at Work (ACW) and the Association for IndependantPractitioners (AIP) and is also an organisational member of both the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel Development) and AoC (Association of Counselling).
